Learn to make a coiled basket using one of the sweetest smelling plants – sweetgrass. Enjoy a day exploring the creative possibilities of this ancient art form as you design and complete your basket. You will learn how to start and sew a basket, various stitching techniques, and approaches to incorporating other materials into the design of coiled baskets. Students of all levels are welcome. You will need a small pair of sharp scissors, thimble, and reading glasses if needed for close work; other supplies will be mailed to you. This is a virtual class; please provide a working email upon registration.
