Like many moons, this full moon has many names often representing what is happening in the natural world. The names for this month include the hunter moon, the blood moon, or the saquine moon. These names all recognize the fact that many take to the fields to secure food for the winter months. During this month’s gathering, we will honor the hunters and give voice to what we are harvesting, either tangible or metaphorically. Snacks and warm tea/infusions will be served around the fire.
For centuries and throughout many cultures, the monthly full moon is honored with ritual and celebration. The intention of a full moon gathering is to honor and connect with the sacred life energy that lives within all of us and to practice manifesting our heart’s desire into our daily experience.
At Moonwise Herbs, we gather every month at the full moon. The full moon is the end of a cycle and as the moon begins to wane and become new again, we can release anything that we are ready to let go of.
These evenings include a fire circle, and a talking stick (virtual during these COVID times) ceremony so that each woman can share what is on her heart. During this month, we will drink nourishing herbal infusions and enjoy snacks that represent the season’s harvest. It is not required that you bring something, but you are more than welcome. We will have several snacks and herbal infusions for everyone. Bring a small plate and a cup.
Everyone is asked to wear a mask when not distancing and to be respectful and mindful of others.
Please bring a chair or blanket, so that you can sit around the fire comfortably.
While we do not charge for this event, we do ask that you register, as we are limiting the number of women, so that distancing can safely be practiced.
