What To Expect
Please be willing to make a one-year commitment to this program. We will meet weekly for 3 hours via video chat, and apprentices will be expected to make time for 3-5 hours of homework per week. Each participant will meet quarterly with the instructor in order to assess and develop learning goals. Apprentices who have completed all assignments and have participated in all the sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion and be eligible for further study as an intern or clinical apprentice with Linda Conroy of Moonwise Herbs.
The first section of this program is focused on incorporating herbs into daily life to promote health. Subsequent sessions build on this knowledge and participants develop a first aid kit, learning to apply herbs for common injuries and ailments. Additionally, everyone will learn to harvest plants through the seasons. Generally speaking, this means leaves and buds in the spring, flowers in the summer, seeds, and roots in the fall, and from the pantry in the winter. Plant medicine for specific body systems will be discussed and a list of herbs for each system will be developed by the group. Participants who wish to receive additional guidance can work with Linda for 2-3 years.
2024/25 Program Dates
In order for this program to provide the deep learning that is required, participants are asked to attend all sessions. Choose One of the following year-long sessions:
Session 1: This session will meet on Friday mornings (9am-noon CST) on a video platform (Zoom). The program begins on February 16, 2024, and ends in February of 2025.
Session 2: This session will meet on Sunday evenings (6-9pm CST) on a video platform (Zoom). The program begins on April 14, 2024, and ends in April of 2025.
Apprentices are also welcome to participate as a helper in other programs that are being offered during their session as well as during the Midwest Women's Herbal Conference or Mycelium Mysteries: Women's Mushroom Conference View our calendar, choose the programs you would like to participate in and submit a list to Linda at rosemarygoddess@moonwiseherbs.com.
Registration
To apply for this program send a letter of intention and your deposit to Moonwise Herbs PO Box 653 Stoughton, Wi 53589 or pay the deposit electronically at this link. The tuition for these programs includes instruction, with some materials for specific lessons. Books and supplies will need to be purchased separately and can be purchased from Moonwise Herbs at a discounted rate, or other sources. Participants receive discounts on other programs and will be offered the opportunity to spend time with Linda in person at her homestead. a couple of times throughout the year.

Once I receive your Intention and deposit, we will set up a phone interview to determine whether this program is a good match for you and you for working with me. We will be working closely together and it is in both our interests to connect ahead of time in order to answer questions and be clear on what you can expect. Please be open to the mystery. If we agree this is the program for you and you for it, your deposit will become non-refundable and your balance will be due within one week of acceptance unless other arrangements have been made. If we decide the program is not for you, your deposit will be returned.
